Professional Standards
At Human Movement Co., professional standards are part of the foundation of how we practise.
This page explains the qualifications, registration and professional expectations that sit behind the care we provide. It is here to help patients understand why registration, compliance and ongoing standards matter — not just as formal requirements, but as part of delivering safe, accountable and trustworthy care.
If you would like to learn more about the people behind that care, you can meet the team. If you are ready to understand what the first step looks like as a patient, start here is the best next page.
Why professional standards matter
For most patients, professional standards are not something they think about until they need a reason to trust who they are seeing.
Registration, qualifications and professional obligations matter because they help ensure your practitioner is appropriately trained, accountable for the care they provide and practising within recognised professional expectations. They are part of what helps care feel safer, more credible and more trustworthy from the beginning.
At Human Movement Co., these standards sit alongside the broader values we care about as a clinic: clear communication, proper assessment, practical care and respect for the person in front of us.
Registration and qualifications
Our chiropractors and physiotherapists hold recognised university qualifications and are registered with AHPRA. Where massage therapists offer services eligible for private health fund rebates, they hold a Diploma of Remedial Massage and practise within the scope of their training and professional qualifications.
AHPRA registration exists to support professional accountability and public safety. It means practitioners must meet the standards expected of registered health professionals and practise within the requirements of their profession.
Where relevant, team qualifications and practitioner backgrounds are also outlined on their individual team pages.
What this means in practice
Professional standards are not just about paperwork or registration status. In practice, they support things like:
- appropriate assessment before treatment
- clear communication about what is being found and why care is being recommended
- treatment that stays within the practitioner’s scope
- referral onward when another kind of care is more appropriate
- ongoing responsibility for practising safely, ethically and professionally
At Human Movement Co., we do not see professional standards as something separate from patient care. They support the way we think about diagnosis-led care, movement-based recovery, clear explanations and practical decision-making. They also help shape when we treat, when we modify care and when it is more appropriate to refer someone elsewhere. It’s how we deliver care that feels both human and clinically responsible.
